Worship Experiences

FAEM holds four worship services together each year.  The community is warmly invited.

The Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. is remembered each year by F.A.E.M. in a service that focuses on justice and mercy.  The 2021 observance will be held at noon, January 18, 2021, via Zoom.  Speaker: Dr. Nirav D. Shah, M.D., J.D, Director of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Update, January 19:  All are invited to share in the meaningful and moving MLK Day service that was held via Zoom.  To watch a video of the Farmington Area Ecumenical Ministries Martin Luther King Day full Service, January 18, 2021, please click here.

A Community Good Friday Service was not be held in 2020 because of the dangers posed by the covid-19 pandemic.  The community is encouraged to continue to pray for our communities in this difficult time.  A decision about the 2021 Community Good Friday service will be announced closer to the date.

The Easter Sunrise Service, sponsored by F.A.E.M. that is typically held at sunrise on Easter morning on Voter Hill was cancelled in 2020 because of the Governor’s stay-at-home order.  Please pray for our communities and for a speedy end to this pandemic.  A decision about the 2021 event will be announced closer to the date.

The Service of Compassion and Hope was held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at 7 p.m. via Zoom.  Hosted by the Fairbanks Union Church, this was a reflective time of healing for people whose losses make the holidays a hard time.  To view a video of the service, click here:
