Warming Center
The Farmington Warming Center:
Serves – people of all ages who live in the Farmington, Maine area.
Provides – a warm place to socialize and share a meal during the winter months. Also provides: hot coffee, tea, homemade soups, baked goods and fruit, free of charge. Donations accepted.
Open – Tuesdays and Thursdays, January, February, March, 10AM—2PM.
Locations –
- Tuesdays 2020 (January 7, 14, 21, 28 and February 4, 11) at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church, 110 Academy Street, Farmington
- Tuesdays 2020 (February 18, 25 and March 3, 10, 17, 24) at St. Joseph’s Parish, 133 Middle Street, Farmington
- Thursdays 2020 (January 9 – February 27) at Old South, First Congregational Church, 227 Main Street, Farmington
Everyone is welcome at the Warming Center. Guests enjoy puzzles, games, crafts and the company of others. A meal is served at noon. Each site is handicap accessible and has parking for guests. Public transportation (Western Maine Transportation) will drop off and pick up riders (small fee to ride).
To Volunteer – The Warming Center is a no-budget program offered collectively by FAEM churches. Volunteers are welcome to help with crafts, visiting with guests, and playing games. To volunteer or donate food, please contact Marraine Kettell at 778-0424 or at revmarraine@farmingtonucc.org.
